Honestly, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime and this year, it’s happening in New York City from September 30 - November 2, 2012.
If you’re a musician of any sort from any genre and you want to learn more about this incredible opportunity, stop by the Nashville preview session on Saturday, March 24 at 4pm at 12th and Porter and check out all the details at RedBullMusicAcademy.com as applications are now being accepted.

Grace Potter collaborated with Dan Auerbach for new album

Sexy siren Grace Potter is set to release her fourth studio album, The Lion The Beast The Beat, this summer and it will feature a collaboration with Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys

“I think there’s a Lion and a Beast within all of us - as humans. There’s also true goodness, and the appearance of goodness…” says Grace. “Maybe I’ve watched too much Mad Men, but I’m in love with the idea of a story with no heroes and no villains and these themes just kept creeping into all the new songs and I didn’t fight it. I decided to embrace it.”

Auerbach co-wrote two tracks on the new album, “Loneliest Souls” and “Never Go Back” and recorded them in his Nashville studio.

“Dan has really hit his stride as a musician and a producer, making epic music the whole world is loving,” she says. “It was great to jump on his train and just let-a-rip.”

You can catch Grace Potter & The Nocturnals this spring at the Coachella Music Festival and several dates this summer when they hit the road with Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw on their “Brothers of the Sun” tour.

THE LATEST ON KE$HA

Ke$ha recently covered Bob Dylan’s Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright for Amnesty International’s upcoming Chimes Of Freedom: The Songs Of Bob Dylan compilation.

She spoke about the project, saying, “Getting a chance to cover a Bob Dylan song for Amnesty Interntaional was a massive deal for me. I pulled up my Garage Band on my laptop and just sang through the song once, and by the end of it I was just crying hysterically alone on my bed.”

The 76-song compilation also includes performances from Adele, Miley Cyrus, My Morning Jacket, Cage the Elephant, Dave Matthews Band, Ziggy Marley, Maroon 5, My Chemical Romance and Sting. It will be released on January 24.

And we all know Ke$ha has a love for facial hair but she’s taken it to a whole new level with her new Tumblr page. Here’s a peek behind the scenes:

And finally, here’s a bit of new music from the pop tart. A song called “Suicide (Little Sad)” which is rumored to be on her new album:
