JAMIE LYNN SPEARS’ SURPRISE SHOW AT PUCKETTS
Last night, Puckett’s in Nashville hosted a surprise concert from one up and coming country starlet. Jamie Lynn Spears who just so happens to be the little sister of one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, Britney Spears, played several original songs during her set. She has been living in Nashville for the past two years and has been rumored to be woking on a country album.
I guess you just never know who might show up in Nashville or at Puckett’s for that matter.

Lady A’s Hillary Scott covers Redbook
The newest issue of Redbook Magazine is about to hit newsstands and the lovely and talented Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum is gracing the cover. Honestly I had to do a double-take when I saw the photo because it doesn’t really look like Miss Scott, and that’s not to say that it’s not a pretty photo or that Hillary isn’t an absolutely gorgeous gal - I know as I’ve had the opportunity to interview her in person - but for some reason I just didn’t recognize the photo as her. Thoughts?
COLT FORD BRINGS MOONSHINE AND ‘GOODTIMES’ TO ATLANTA

More than a hundred family, friends and fans crowded into the upstairs at Smith’s Olde Bar in midtown Atlanta on Tuesday night for a private party to celebrate the launch of CMA nominee Colt Ford’s new moonshine and vodka liquor line, ‘Goodtime.’ Ford is the first country star to ever launch two signature spirits simultaneously and his authentic moonshine, made in his home state of Georgia with actual Georgia grains, is unlike anything else currently on the market.
Bartenders, dressed in t-shirts emblazoned with the word “Shineologist,” mixed up cocktails using Ford’s creations, much to the delight of the guests who were eager to sample the goods, and by the time he took the stage around 10p.m., everyone seemed to be in excellent spirits.
Ford and the band appropriately kicked off their show with “Mr. Goodtimes” and rolled straight into Charlie Daniels’ “Devil Went Down to Georgia” setting the tone for the raucous set that included “Country Thang,” and “Dirt Road Anthem,” which had all the ladies in the front row belting out the lyrics. And as a very special treat, Trick Pony’s Ira Dean and stellar singer/songwriter Corey Smith, both of whom are labelmates of Ford’s on Average Joe’s Entertainment, joined in the fun and took the stage to join him for a tune.
“This is just good, real authentic moonshine,” Ford told members of the media earlier in the day at the press conference at United Distributors, the company responsible for getting Ford’s spirits on shelves across the country. “I mean, I’m not a lot of things but I am authentic.”
Surrounded by folks who adored him at Tuesday night’s event, it was easy to see his statement was absolutely true.
Ford’s latest release, a ballad featuring Craig Morgan called “She Likes to Ride in Trucks” off the record-breaking album Every Chance I Get is available now on iTunes.
