Hundreds of gorgeous models traveled to Nashville’s Marathon Village for the chance to walk the runway in the 2012 Lexus Nashville Fashion Week but only a few were chosen. Here’s a glimpse behind the scenes of that process.
What a week it has been in Nashville! Three awards shows, endless parties, photos galore and a complete video wrap-up. I’m so luck to have been a part of the ASCAP Awards, BMI Awards and the CMA Awards over the past few days and thankful for all the amazing people I had the opportunity to chat with along the way. Take a look at the video wrap up to see more from country music’s biggest week.
On Saturday, the folks behind BamaJam kicked off their first ever Fall Fest event with performances from Darryl Worley, The Roys, John Rich and Mercy Me. Take a look at my video to see highlights from the event.
The Inspirational Country Music Awards took place on Friday night in Nashville. Take a look at my video to see highlights from the show, which included performances from Ricky Skaggs, Lee Greenwood and many more.
Over the years, I’ve had some amazing opportunities to speak with some of the biggest names in country music and beyond including Kris Kristofferson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Merle Haggard, Carrie Underwood and many more. These are a few of my favorite moments.
Sad news in racing yesterday as IndyCar champion driver Dan Wheldon was killed in a massive 15-car wreck during a race in Las Vegas. The video of the accident is truly unbelievable as you see 15 cars lose control while going up to 220 mph.
I had the opportunity to interview Wheldon on the 2011 CMT Awards red carpet back in June and found him to be warm and charming. The video below is a short excerpt from that evening but what you don’t see are the moments just after our interview where I joked with Wheldon and Big Machine Records’ Scott Borchetta asking which of them actually drove to the awards that evening and it opened up a few moments of laughter from them both.
Dan will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to your family and friends at this sad time and I’ll keep them in my thoughts and prayers.
On Tuesday afternoon, country artist Dierks Bentley gathered friends and colleagues together at Loser’s Bar and Grille in Nashville to celebrate the success of his No. 1 hit, “Am I the Only One” with songwriters Jon Randall and Jim Beavers. Press play to see my recap from the event.
BMI joined together with ASCAP and CMA on Monday to celebrate the success of the No. 1 song, “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away.” Artist Justin Moore and songwriters Dallas Davidson, Rob Hatch and Brett Jones were on hand for the party as well as Big Machine Label Group’s Scott Borchetta. Take a peep at the video I shot at the event for the full recap.
